At Dekota HQ, we love rolling up our sleeves and diving into concept projects that we’ve created from scratch. It’s a blast for us because it means we get to set the rules and experiment with something totally fresh and boundary pushing.

Wacko Taco is one of those projects. We’d been noticing a lot of 50s and 60s retro character illustrations popping up in trendy new spots, and we thought, why not give that a whirl ourselves? Enter Wacko, the little guy jumping for joy. And yep, you guessed it, he’s a taco!

Building the brand around this quirky character led us straight into a bold colour palette that’s totally unique to the market right now. We then mocked up packaging and merch ideas that this taco haven would need to really make a splash.

But we didn’t stop there,oh no. We took it to the next level by imagining how this vibrant brand would look on the outside of a real building in Birmingham.

Who knows? One day, Wacko Taco might just be more than a concept—it could be a reality!
